SSEA is a non-profit organization on a mission to spark innovation, celebrate excellence, and create opportunities for businesses and individuals to thrive.
WHERE VISION MEETS ACTION
DRIVING INNOVATION, EXCELLENCE & SHARED PROSPERITY
The South Shore Economic Alliance (SSEA) is built on a simple belief: our region is overflowing with potential. Across every municipality and community on the South Shore, a bold entrepreneurial spirit is taking root and we’re here to help it grow.
We champion collaboration, spark new ideas, and create pathways for businesses to think bigger, work smarter, and rise higher. And just as the tide connects and nourishes our coastline, SSEA brings people, industries, and opportunities together to build a stronger, more resilient economy where every community can thrive.
A rising tide lifts all boats. We’re here to help raise the waterline.
BE PART OF SOMETHING EXCEPTIONAL
Through our annual Business Excellence Awards, ‘In Conversation’ Lunch, Golf Tournament and ‘Women in Business’ Summit, we will bring together business leaders and entrepreneurs to help shape the future of our region’s economy.
We are seeking investors to fuel these initiatives by contributing to operational and administrative support. With your help, we can deliver engaging, high-quality events that truly make a difference.

KICK OFF 2026
Thank you to everyone who attended the Towards Prosperity lunch.
Attendees enjoyed lunch and an engaging armchair conversation with Don Mills and David Campbell – hosts of the Insights podcast and authors of Toward Prosperity: The Transformation of Atlantic Canada’s Economy.
Businesses from Chester to Shelburne were in the room with lots of quality questions from the audience. We're inspired to have a follow-up Round Table in March to continue the conversation and find the ways that SSEA can best support the business community on the South Shore. Everyone received a copy of the book and Don and David were available to signing them.
Special thanks to Brian Limoyo for the photos:
